My video will show you exactly how to find your GoTo Necklace.
Or try these five tips on finding a GoTo Necklace on your own:
Before you start, gather up a few necklaces that feel right to you when you handle them. I call this feeling – it’s a shiver of satisfaction that starts in your fingers, runs up your arm and warms up your heart – your style groove. Just let your fingers handle the necklaces until you pick a few that feel best. When you get that feeling, chances are pretty good that you’ve picked a color, shape or length that agrees with your features and your personality.
Tip one – Check for the colors in the necklaces to see if any of them match the colors in your eyes. Make sure you really look at your eyes here instead of just going with the color they put on your driver’s license. Sometimes there’s a ring around the outside of the iris that’s darker. You might see one color that fills your pupil, you may find flecks of color throughout or you’ll have a starburst of color sparkling outward. You can even name the colors – not plain words like brown – but evocative words like dark cocoa or morning coffee. Now find one of those amazing colors in your GoTo Necklace.
Tip two – Look for shapes that look like the shape of your eyes. Are your eyes almond shaped, do they curve upward at the outer corners, are they wide and round like wheels? Maybe they’re oval with a slight downward pull at the corner. Find a shape in a necklace stone or link that reminds you of your eye shape and, viola, you are wearing your GoTo Necklace.
Tip three – Do you have one feature that is much more noticeable than the others – like a prominent nose or very full lips or a pointed chin? Work with that outstanding feature! It’s important because it’s part of your story and it’s an aspect of your identity. Even if you don’t really care for how it looks, you look chic when you integrate it instead of skimming over it. The way to do this with a GoTo Necklace? Duplicate the feature with a necklace pendant that has the same length or shape as your prominent feature. For a long and prominent nose, try a long pendant. For a pointed chin, try a triangular shaped ornament. For full lips, try an enameled charm in the shape of a full bow.
Tip four – Have you ever heard of your focus point? Locating this spot will help you choose your best necklace length. Take a tape measure and measure from the top of your forehead (or below your bangs) to the bottom of your chin. Now measure that same length from the bottom of your chin to the spot below on your chest. This spot is your focus point and when you wear a GoTo Necklace that ends here, you are framing and balancing your face above it.
Tip five – This tip is for those who have a big bust or shoulders. If you like small and pretty necklaces, then wear three. If you like big pendants or oversize chains, then wear one that is similar in size to your bust or shoulders. This helps you balance bigger parts of your body with your smaller face in a way that is very polished and coordinated.
